I believe that change is always possible. While often intimidating, therapy can be the first step toward improving your life. Whether struggling with a relationship, anger management, communication skills, parenting, self-identity, depression or anxiety, I work with my clients to identify the maladaptive thought processes, roadblocks and circumstances that have led to feelings of frustration, dissatisfaction, or helplessness. I have a passion for working with individuals, couples and families to identify life goals, improve self-awareness and communication, and implement lasting change.
The dissolution of a marriage brings forth a number of emotional and financial challenges, especially if children are involved. If divorce is inevitable, I will work with both parents from a non-judgmental, strengths-based approach to establish a co-parenting plan that will best meet the emotional and developmental needs of the family.
Men are often socialized to avoid expressing their emotional needs. Conversely, women are lauded for their ability to express themselves. To many men, therapy feels like entering a female world of hypersensitivity. I enjoy offering men a pragmatic, non-judgmental approach to identifying and communicating their underlying feelings and needs.

Groups
SAGE (Self Awareness for Girls Empowerment)
SAGE is a girls' self-empowerment summer camp that focuses on the challenges of transitioning to life as a teenage girl. Topics discussed are: bullying/mean girls behavior, self-image and the media, Internet use and safety, etiquette, physiological and emotional changes that accompany puberty. Safety is paramount, and groups are conducted in a light-hearted non-threatening manner. If a member is uncomfortable sharing, the only participation required is respectful listening.
