I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-MHSP) in the State of Tennessee, and am a National Board-Certified Counselor (NCC). I have worked with clients of all ages in a variety of settings and currently see clients ages 13 and up. My approach to counseling is client-centered and is tailored to the needs of each individual client, drawing on my knowledge and training in different modalities, including CBT, ACT and EMDR. I am inspired by the bravery of my clients to show up and do difficult work each and every day, and I count it a privilege to be a part of their journey towards growth and healing.
I enjoy working with teenagers and adults, and I have a special interest in helping people who have been impacted by trauma. My primary modality for working with trauma is EMDR because of the positive impact I have seen it make in the lives of my clients. I also love that EMDR can work well in-person or via telehealth with clients of all ages.
I understand that it can be difficult and scary to reach out and ask for help, whether it is for you or your teenager.
