I respect how challenging it can be to come to therapy and speak to a stranger. Many people say they don't want a therapist who "sits quietly and nods" while they talk. I provide a comfortable and safe space for people to share their concerns, and our time together can be conversational and direct. I can be an active partner in your choice to move forward in your life. Therapy is a place to explore together, improve the quality of your life and expand your choices.
I can help with improving romantic relationships, learning to navigate tricky or frustrating family dynamics, setting boundaries with work, exploring or changing alcohol use, and exploring coming out/issues specific to LGBTQ people. I've worked with many people who aren't sure exactly what's wrong, or have some idea but aren't sure what to do next.
I've been licensed for more than a decade and have worked with people from all walks of life. I'm experienced in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, substances and those just feeling "stuck." I identify as part of the LGBTQ community and have extensive experience working with this community, as well as those with family/friends who drink or use drugs.
