Welcome, my name is Stacey! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in several states. I enjoy working with women in transition (career, education, relationship, life adjustments etc.) As a POC, my goal is to eliminate barriers and stigmas associated with therapy in the BIPOC community. I typically work with adult women (18 and older) who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, life/work stressors, and adjustment disorders. I have a client centered approach where I start where the client is. I work with the client to identify protective factors, strengths, patterns to begin problem solving.
I love to create a safe and nonjudgmental experience for my clients. I am also very empathetic and solution oriented. During the first session, the client can share why they are seeking therapy, build rapport, and ask any questions they may have pertained to therapy.
I have always done well with 1 on 1 and find that people open up to me easily. I love to learn new things and understand that the client is the expert of their life. The client and I develop goals starting with the presenting issues and determined by initial assessment.
