As a psychotherapist I work from a compassionate and empathetic perspective. My work takes in to account the whole person by exploring my client’s life experiences in order to build increased awareness to promote growth and a deeper sense of healing. I help clients to identify undiscovered potential, create positive change, and work through a multitude of issues. Clients come to me to work through anxiety, depression, trauma, educational issues, low self-esteem, times of transition and relationship issues. I work with all types of clients. I frequently work with those struggling with anxiety and various ways in which it manifests.
I have specialized training in CBT, psychodynamic theory, mindfulness and Brainspotting. I offer individual, couples, and family psychotherapy. I graduated from Adelphi University in 2009 with a Masters in Social Work and continue to pursue postgraduate training in a variety of treatment interventions.
I have over 12 years experience as a social worker I can empathize how entering into therapy can be intimidating. The trick is finding a therapist who you can trust and feel connected to in order to begin the process of sorting through your issues. Once you do, it can be life changing.
