Stacey Karpen Dohn
Licensed Professional Counselor, PhD, LPC
I am not accepting new clients at this time, but will have openings in 2021. I provide specialized care in the exploration of gender identity for children (ages 4+), adolescents and adults. I work with clients and their families as they navigate through the social and emotional aspects of transition, and also provide a specialized knowledge of the medical components including psychological assessments for hormone therapy and gender affirming surgeries. I work from a resilience based framework, encouraging clients to not only explore the challenges of transition, but to celebrate the joyful moments with authenticity and courage.
I share knowledge of the logistics of transition, but, perhaps more importantly, I provide a safe space where you can ask questions and feel supported as you acquire the tools to support yourself or your loved one. First and foremost, I will assure you that you are not alone.
You are on a journey that may feel daunting, but it can also be exciting and empowering. I look forward to getting to know you and your story. Please send me an email for the fastest reply.
