About
I work with people who feel stuck; those struggling with feelings or behaviors that make them feel isolated, confused, different. Whether it be depression, anxiety, perfectionism/self-criticism, loneliness, shame, abuse, working through and healing from trauma, or improving your relationship with yourself or others, there *really are genuine ways to heal. We all need to feel safe, to be seen and heard, and to have our feelings honored for change to happen; and that is what I offer you: A safe space to explore and understand what’s been keeping you where you are, so you can discover a new way to the life you want.
I mostly work with clients over 30 years of age who have not found previous therapy helpful or those who have never pursued it. The training I have sought is a unique combination of exploration, excavation, curiosity and compassion. To learn more about me and how I work, you are welcome to visit: www.staceykwoodlmft.com for more information.
As much as we may desire real change, we can still find ourselves fearing it or feeling a sense of embarrassment or shame around asking for help. I hold asking for help as a genuine act of courage. I invite you to speak with me via phone so you can get a stronger sense of me both as a person & a clinician, and so I can learn about your needs and goals.
