I am a licensed mental health therapist in the states of Hawaii and Oregon with 20 years of professional work experience. My focus is working individually with adults of all ages with a variety of presenting needs as well as multicultural counseling with clients including Asian-Americans, Black-Americans, immigrants and LGBTQIA+ clients.
My focus is pairing each individual client's needs with evidence-based treatment modalities. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Brief Solutions Focused Therapy and Mindfulness.
I believe it's important to meet my client's where they are at, clearly identify their needs as well as what they hope to gain from counseling. Therapy starts with listening and building a foundation of trust, followed by identifying needs and pairing treatment and goals to meet the needs of each person.
