Hello, my name is Stacey. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 25 years of experience in behavioral health care, substance use treatment, and child welfare services. I will be available for virtual sessions beginning in April, and in-office sessions beginning mid-May 2024. I utilize an attachment-informed, trauma sensitive, and strengths-based approach to working with individuals and families around a variety of needs including adjustment issues, learning and behavioral challenges, mood and anxiety related concerns, trauma, grief and loss, gender journey, and life transitions.
In a first session, we will begin with getting to know one another. I would like to end the session with a basic understanding of your current life circumstances, symptoms that concern you, and your goals for therapy. During the first few visits, I may ask questions about your life history. We might utilize additional questionnaires to assess your symptoms.
My greatest strengths as a provider are adaptability and creativity. I am comfortable using highly structured treatment methods, or simply being a warm, reflective presence, and all points in between.
