Therapy has the ability to allow one to process, grow, and heal. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is also Nationally and Board Certified. I have been in private practice for over 20 years where I focus on individual, child/teen, family, and couples counseling. An eclectic approach to therapy is utilized and geared towards self-improvement/personal growth through challenging and often tragic times. Therapeutic techniques and interventions are diverse in nature (CBT, DBT, EMDR, client centered, etc.) that specifically cater towards each individual, couple, or family.
I also use various techniques in assisting my clients to build tools and strategies, such as: emotional regulation work, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, anxiety reducers, processing approaches, communication techniques, and tools to assist those in building a healthier self-worth and sense of empowerment.
I am passionate about effective parenting allowing children to grow into responsible adults . I enjoy assisting parents to effectively guide and assist their child/teen to choose healthier responses and behaviors through an often challenging transition and time. As a co-founder of "Parenting with Leadership," parenting tools and strategies are my forte.
