Welcome to Men's Counseling Florida! I'm Michael Ceely and my practice is dedicated to helping men throughout the state of Florida. Traditionally, men have been reluctant to reach out to a therapist. Fortunately, this is changing, and I see my role as making the counseling process simple and transparent so that my clients feel at ease. It takes courage to ask for help, and wanting to improve one's life is a sign of strength.

I believe it is important to always take an individualized approach to therapy based on the specific needs of each of client. I like to take an active approach to therapy that incorporates contemporary clinical research findings with evidence-based therapeutic models. I integrate both psychodynamic psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy to provide a collaborative and supportive therapeutic experience.

I am a pre-licensed clinical psychologist working under the supervision of a licensed professional in the field. I have a passion for working with clients with a variety of interpersonal and clinical issues. I value learning about a person's background and history, building rapport, and utilizing empathy to connect better with my clients when they sit down for their first session with me. As a REAL sports psychologist, I have a unique practice in that I specialize working primarily with athletes who have the desire to improve their performance. Most of my clients are very talented​ but struggle with performance anxiety. I have a sub-specialty in golf due to my athletic background. I also consult with parents of athletes to help them understand how their role can help/hurt their athletes. I use a 3 tiered approach to training: Perspective Training, Mental Skills Training, and Applied Settings (if applicable at a sporting location). I also travel with the PGA Tour. No one has my credentials. I consider myself the best.
