Whether working with a client or another clinician, I recognize that I am working with another human who should be viewed as a whole. I believe in supporting clients and supervisees through difficulties by utilizing a person centered approach and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques in order to facilitate a space of safety and growth. I am theoretically centered by Existential theory but influenced heavily by Humanistic and Behavioral theories. I am well versed in CBT, DBT, solution focused, health coaching and moderation coaching. My approach to supervision is heavily connected to my therapeutic style.

I realize that starting therapy can be a vulnerable and sometimes intimidating experience, which is why I work to create a safe space where you and I can work collaboratively to explore your concerns and help you move forward. I have a special interest in working with clients dealing with the effects of trauma. Through various treatment modalities I assist the client in navigating the impacts of trauma with the goal of returning to a healthy level of normalcy for you. Additionally, I enjoy working with couples and families. As an Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT) I strive to help couples and families to identify negative interactional cycles with each other and re-establish feelings of safety. I also have experience working with adolescents and children (7 and up).

You are always the center of my attention, and therapy is based on what you want to change about your behaviors, thoughts or feelings. I listen to what you have to say, and help you identify solutions to problems you may identify. I provide crisis counseling, brief therapy, and long term psychotherapy based on your needs.

I truly enjoy helping individual adults, parents, and families reach a healthier level of functioning and satisfaction in their life using EMDR, CBT, or SFBT.

My ideal clients are teens or adults who want learn tools for long term happiness. Issues I enjoy treating are substance use, binge eating, grief, loss, trauma, relationship issues, marriage counseling, anxiety and depression. For success, I provide judgement free space and unconditional positive regard, mixed with some humor and direction. I like to dive deep with my clients, utilizing their strengths, which will allow them to become more free and self-sufficient, with healthier relationships.

My ideal client is looking for something more. They are lost in what feels like nothing more than a bunch of rules and rigidity that has never really served them well. Their goals are to feel fulfilled, but they are lost as to how to achieve that. They have tried the rules and only come up empty handed. They were taught that happiness is the only acceptable emotion to feel and that if they feel anything else that something is wrong with them. That makes life so limiting, and I want to show them another way that allows them too actually live fulfilled. My ideal client is looking for meaning, purpose, and peace beyond the rules.
