As well as, how to process, work through and find healing after a loss. I love working with couples and helping them gain better problem-solving skills, have more meaningful communication, and to help them create a deeper emotional connection with each other. If preferred by the Client, I also offer faith-based therapy.

I work primarily with adults in individual therapy and offer consultation to families, couples and primary care physicians. Presenting problems often include depression, anxiety and relationship distress.

I work with clients throughout the life span. I believe it is important to develop a relationship and assist the client to creating goals toward their own behavior change. We will explore the client's background and past events that have caused the client to seek out support to better their future. I do challenge a client to address when their actions are not working toward the goals they have set for therapy.

I have been a marriage and family therapist for over 24 years. With a Master in Divinity, a concentration in Pastoral Counseling, and a PhD in Theology, a concentration in Faith Based Marriage and Family counseling. I see couples and individuals with a focus on "divorce proofing" their marriage. Married with a blended family of seven children, both my wife and I manage an active schedule with strong focus on our faith, each other, and our children. Belinda uses trauma-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, parent-child psychotherapy, while also incorporating meditative practices, relaxation techniques and similar strategies.

I specialize in students of all ages who are not working at their potential. These include individuals with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Aspergers Syndrome, Work or School-related Anxiety, Gifted Learning Challenges, or Unconventional Learning Styles. Thirty years in public education has provided me with the experience to teach strategies to the student, and to recommend individualized accommodations and modifications to parents and educators. I also provide short-term counseling to rebuild self-esteem and motivation. I focus on the student's inherent gifts and am an advocate for the student.
