Welcome to Transitional Life Counseling! We are located at the Mindfully Well Center, an integrative health and wellness center. Our goal is to empower you to reach your optimal health and lead a life that is balanced and enriched from the inside out. After 22 years of experience in mental health and wellness, first as a community mental health counselor and now as a psychologist, I have adopted an integrative approach to mental health, one that utilizes our tools of assessment to clearly identify your strengths, followed by the development of an individualized plan to include various modalities to help you reach your optimal potential.

With special training in behavioral approaches and The Gottman Method for couples therapy, I focus on clients’ relationship to their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors throughout the therapeutic process. In individual counseling, I am used to seeing common disruptions caused by anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, autism, OCD, and ADHD. I find my work with couples to be particularly rewarding when they can work together towards shared goals and repair a partnership that was once on the brink of fallout.

I very much enjoy working with children, teens, adults, couples and families. I specialize in working with individuals/families challenged in their relationships and choices due to difficulty in identifying and sharing their thoughts and emotions appropriately. Issues and/or emotions that has caused problems in one's relationships in the home, community, and/or the workplace. Those impacted by substance abuse both individually or as a family member are also welcomed. Other areas of focus include anger control problems; ADD/ADHD; faith-based; and whatever you are challenged by in your life.

Amy guides couples and individuals with sexuality concerns, communication and relationship-building, as well as spirituality and life adjustments. She encompasses mind-body-energy healing practices to fit the client's worldviews and needs.

Alexa ("Lexi") Hirsch is an LMSW. Her clinical professional experience includes work with varying client populations in the school, home, and community settings where she's worked with children and collaboratively with their families and school-based professionals utilizing trauma-informed approaches. She encourages a holistic approach to treatment and considers the way bodies and ones’ physiology are impacted by trauma + helps to connect the way trauma stays within our bodies + how we can begin to break it down to better our ability to be present.

There are countless “good” reasons to seek therapy. Sometimes there’s a “big” reason, such as serious relationship issues, mental health struggles, past and current trauma, big life transitions, etc. But some people come to me feeling generally stressed, “off,” or simply wanting someone to coach them into their next highest level of potential. Heather Sniezek (owner/clinical director) is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio who earned her Master of Arts from Ashland University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Psychology from Cleveland State University. Heather’s experience includes working in a private practice setting, inpatient psychiatric unit, grief counseling center, outpatient care, and in school counseling settings. Heather is also trained in spiritual counseling and guidance, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

My name is Stephen Wallace and I desire to provide Christ-centered counseling for individuals or couples who would like to receive guidance and supportive affirmation within a non-judgmental client/counselor relationship. I have 10 years of experience providing professional clinical counseling mainly within non-profit agency settings. My credentials include a Master of Arts in Education and I am licensed in the state of Ohio to provide clinical counseling.

I use evidence based treatment strategies including (CBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (DBT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy and creative expression. I also offer a unique early intervention program often referred by schools and Probation Officers to address teen substance usage and encourage informed choices.
