I am a licensed psychologist with expertise in trauma recovery/healing, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, chronic stress, relationships, and adjustment to a variety of life transitions and circumstances. When necessary, I integrate mindfulness, spirituality, and emotion-focused techniques into my therapy approach.

I work with individuals, couples and families and know the challenges that each face. I believe that within every person is the ability to conquer challenges and overcome their past situations. I want to help unlock your potential and the ability to see how powerful and strong you really are in overcoming the obstacles you face. I am a mom of a special needs child, sister, daughter, minister, and friend---all of these roles require a unique connection. I help others learn how to relate and excel in their lives and in relating to others.

My career in counseling started with inpatient stabilization and treatment settings treating all ages in both mental health and addiction. These experiences combined with my own life experience qualify me to help you learn and grow in a non-judgmental atmosphere that will encourage positive thinking and solution focused change. Wellness is all about removing the obstacles that keep you from your true self. I want you to imagine what it would be like to wake up and feel free of the mental anguish that comes from not knowing how to break the debilitating thinking and behavior patterns that govern your life. That is why I provide an ease about coming to therapy and attempt to make my clients feel comfortable beginning this process. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults helping them get through difficult transitions in their lives. I do a lot of work challenging people to explore their aggression, self-harming behaviors, drugs and alcohol use, suicidal ideations, depression and anxiety. Apryl is also passionate about providing support to families and individuals challenged by chronic illness, in particular Type 1 Diabetes.
