Choosing to begin therapy is making a commitment to yourself and taking a step towards a better life. Some people come to therapy looking to change specific behaviors, alleviate symptoms of anxiety or depression, or learn new coping skills. Others want to understand themselves and their relationships better. Still others are longing for greater meaning and fulfillment. I am passionate about helping people make changes in their lives and am honored to serve as guide, coach, companion, and witness to my clients' journeys.
I take an active, collaborative, compassionate and relational approach to evidence-based treatments for mood, anxiety, and personality disorders. I am particularly interested in issues of women’s empowerment and overall health; individuation and identity in young adults; and the challenges that frequently arise in creating and raising a family.
Through my training at Boston and Harvard Universities, and my current appointment as a supervisor at McLean Hospital / Harvard Medical School, I have developed an expertise in tailoring and personalizing Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral (DBT) Therapies to meet the needs of clients with a diverse range of struggles, strengths, and goals.

DBT Skills

This telehealth group covers the four modules of DBT skills: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, and Distress Tolerance. Each group begins with a mindfulness practice, and includes review of skills practiced during the previous week, teaching of new skills, and assignment for weekly practice. Group members agree to practice skills outside session, support one another in skills use, and make a minimum commitment of 6 months. Group members must have an individual therapist, but do not need to be in individual DBT.

This telehealth group supports members in learning about themselves and their patterns in relationships. Group is unstructured and focuses on process. Group members work to speak clearly and directly to one another about their thoughts and feelings about themselves and each other in real time. This group is appropriate for anyone wanting to work on increasing their understanding of themselves and their relationships, deepening connections, addressing old patterns, and finding new, more effective, and fulfilling ways of relating. Group members are asked to commit to regular attendance for a minimum of six months and must have an established individual therapist.
