Women in Transition - Next Steps
For women over 65, this supportive, psychologically-minded 12-session therapy group provides an opportunity to explore issues related to relationships, career, parenting, aging, body image, loss - anything connected with transitions in one's life. Members have had a minimum of one year individual psychotherapy experience, and have interest in learning more about themselves, their impact on others, and how to deal more effectively with the issues they're facing in their lives. This group meets weekly (except the 3rd Wednesday of the month), and recurs 2 - 3 times per year.

Women Helping Women
"Women helping women" provides an opportunity for members to become more effective in their relationships with others - partners, children, parents, coworkers, friends. Because many people encounter problems in establishing and maintaining close relationships, a therapy group creates a social microcosm where honest interpersonal explorations with others is encouraged. Members learn in the here and now how they impact others and how others impact them. They can explore more productive ways to relate and can try out new types of behavior - leading to more rewarding connections with significant people in their lives.

Interpersonal relationships & Self Esteem - co-ed
For those interested in learning more about how you impact others and how others impact you, this group provides a safe, exciting place to do this work. It addresses issues of self-esteem and self-image, looking at the discrepancies between how you see yourself and how others see you. Issues of interpersonal conflict, self-assertion, sexuality, mild depression, anxiety - all are relevant for exploration in group. Group works best when you can experience parts of yourself that you're not certain about, not familiar with - and other group members offer different "mirrors" for you to learn more about yourself.
