Welcome to my practice. I specialize in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (IS-TDP). IS-TDP is based on findings from neuroscience, physiology, attachment studies, mindfulness and psychodynamic theory. This is an effective and well researched technique that is useful in addressing problems and difficulties rapidly and actively. Using this method we can get below the surface and address more than the symptoms but rather the cause. The results, typically, are broad in scope with health benefits in multiple areas. Of note, this method is effective in addressing physical symptoms unexplained by medical examination.
In using this method, we will act as a team to pay a focused and caring attention to you during each moment of your session. We communicate about the process as we work together. The focus is to help you overcome internal resistance to experiencing your feelings and knowing your true thoughts / ideas about present and/or past challenges and difficulties.
Frequently, such feelings have been avoided as they are too painful to face. Unfortunately, not addressing these emotional conflicts leads to difficulties functioning.
