One of the first things asked of me when creating this website profile was to describe my ideal client. I don't think I have an ideal client. To me that implies that I can pick and choose my client's problems, symptoms, relationships, and so forth, and it's that same individuality and variety of people and presenting concerns that I value. I wouldn't change that if I could. I meet a lot of people who don't really know what they need or cannot visualize/verbalize their true goals. Discovery can be a part of the therapeutic process.
I work with complex trauma in clients of all ages and demographics; I hold an advanced certification in addictions treatment and a specialty in Couples work. I have experience with all varieties of therapy from group to couples work, and I treat eating disorders, anxiety, stress management, holistic health and a wide variety of other presenting concerns.
I believe the therapy experience to be a give and take process where healing occurs both within the self and within the environmental system of which I am a part. I come alongside you like a ship to a dock, accompanying you on your path to your best self. You are the captain.
