Neuro-Psychotherapy: This unique therapeutic modality combines psychotherapy with a brain and behavior perspective. The integrative format helps you better understand your brain patterns in relationship to your behavior and emotional output. This information will help you to permanently correct the negative feeling or behavior, allowing you to establish positive patterns instead. We offer individual, family and couples therapy to children, adolescents and adults with the following problems or difficulties: sadness/depression, mood swings, anxiety (panic attacks), social phobia, poor social skills, OCD, substance abuse (relapse prevention), video game/internet/pornography addiction, gambling, eating disorders, sleep difficulties, impulsivity, anger problems, relationship issues, trauma/abuse, PTSD.
Cognitive Rehabilitation: Cognitive rehabilitation sessions help those needing assistance with cognitive problems resulting from head injury (concussion), ADD/ADHD, learning difficulties and other issues with communication, organization and behavior. A neuropsychological evaluation helps to identify strengths and weaknesses and a tailored treatment plan is formulated to target difficulties. Progress is monitored and re-assessed periodically.
In addition to behavioral health services, I offer comprehensive career evaluations. I assess personal interests and abilities (attention and concentration, mental processing speed, language skills/comprehension, executive functioning skills, verbal and visual learning). I pair your strengths and abilities with specific career choices and offer suggestions to improve areas of weakness.
