Many of my clients come in to therapy wanting to overcome stress and hard emotions, or break painful patterns in their relationships. I often work with clients who have felt hurt by their relationships due to harsh words, addiction or leaving when they needed them. For many, the first goals involve understanding how others' actions have impacted them, and who they are outside of that impact. My goal is for clients to find clarity and feel empowered to choose for themselves their next step forward.

Therapy works best when clients feel heard, respected and empowered to set their own goals and timing for personal growth and change. Times of crisis, though overwhelming, can yield great opportunites for meaningful change for individuals and families. I believe therapy is about instilling and nurturing hope so people can become the best versions of themselves.

It is my passion to help children, teens and young adults (ages 3-25) whenever there has been a concern for problematic behavior that has gotten them in trouble or that hurt someone. If you need help addressing something like this, or if you have questions generally about equipping your child to keep themselves and others safe (think about technology use, sexting, etc), I would love to work with you. I also really enjoy working with youth who need help processing a traumatic experience (I provide TF-CBT, an evidence based treatment program). When possible, I include the caregiver or parent in treatment.

Most of the individuals and couples I work with are all experiencing some version of the same thing: unmet emotional and/or physical needs. The same fights over and over again. Feeling frustrated because their significant other just doesn't understand! Are you walking on eggshells? Having the same fight over and over again? Wondering if things will ever change?

Change is one of the few constants in life... but we all have been in a place where a "change" on how we relate, reason and think ... has been easier said than done. When was the last time that you looked into you?
As a fellow human being, I know that feeling vulnerable can be unbearable. I believe that we all deserve to be seen and heard, without judgements. I truly enjoy listening to people and empower them to find in therapy a safe space and meaning of their life "story".
Find in me an ally, I also strive on accompanying people to find a personal growth and make informed decisions about their mental health.
