I enjoy working with clients who are ready to make positive changes in their lives. I like to walk beside clients and help them find their strength and resiliency. Clients are then able to grow as individuals and to grow in relationships with others. I work with individuals, couples, and families to help them find the best ways to live healthy lives with loving relationships. I strive to create a safe environment for clients to express themselves and find new solutions that lead to serenity.

Reaching out to a counselor can be intimidating. I get it. We've all had times in life when we can't manage on our own. You might think, "how did I get here?" Whatever the situation, sometimes it feels overwhelming until you are able to talk about it. A counselor can help guide you through it. Counseling can help you feel healthier, happier, more empowered. Let's work together to help you find the peace and resiliency you've been wanting. Give us a call. We offer flexible hours, as well as offering phone and e-counseling.
***Offering evening and weekend appointments*** Sometimes life is hard and we need a little assistance. I believe strength is within us, and I also believe that sometimes we need a little help finding it. I am here to support you along the journey of gaining understanding into yourself, your situation and your goals. In addition to other evidence-based practices (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, MI, ACT, TF-CBT, Alternatives for Families CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy), I am trained in EMDR which is very effective in treating PTSD symptoms. I am also Gottman trained in couple's therapy.
Are you in your twenties and thirties and entering a new phase in your life? Nervous about all of the changes? You may be experiencing a quarterlife crisis. Life transitions, like graduating from college, moving to a new place, ending a relationship, or getting engaged, can feel overwhelming. Changes that result from life transitions are an inevitable part of life, and much of our happiness depends on how we navigate these times of transition. As a licensed psychotherapist in practice for over 15 years, I have helped many clients successfully work through their quarterlife crisis.

During these times we need support and guidance from others. Sometimes it is most helpful to get that support from someone outside of our circle. We all need help at times, whether it's dealing with fears and worries, sadness, or things that are out of our control. I understand it can be difficult to take this first step, which is why I promise to provide a safe space where you can find peace of mind. Life is hard and we are not meant to do it alone!
The most important thing I convey to clients is "you don't have to live like this". You don't have to just "deal" with the constant nagging doubt of OCD. You don't have to abide the nonstop pressure of anxiety. You don't have to put up with the flashbacks and hyper-vigilance of trauma. No matter how the pain of OCD, anxiety and/or trauma is affecting you, there are ways to fight back, survive and excel. While I am most passionate about OCD, anxiety and trauma, I also work with depression, attachment disorders, codependency, relationship, and family issues.

Often times our lives and relationships don't go according to our plans. We have problems with our past, not connecting or understanding relationships, how others have hurt us, or how to navigate the difficulty of finances. These situations are just a few that could require some additional help. You are not alone in this. In fact, most individuals and couples can relate to these experiences. Assistance can come in many forms, including the client central focus that Olive Tree Counseling strives to accomplish.
Hey! I'm so glad you're here. Since you're here, you must be taking either your own, or someone else's mental health/ well being seriously. That's why I became a counselor. People around me, strangers or not, kept opening up to me and I didn't know how to help them. I decided to go get my masters and learn ways to help people cope and feel regulated again. I had no idea how much I would learn, or how much I would love it. I love counseling and helping others. I work out of a client centered approach and believe you know yourself better than anyone. I would love to work with you! Let's get to healing!

Let me help you move forward in this positive journey towards increased self-awareness and clarity of self.
