Many people seek out therapy when they feel stuck – when the same worries, behaviors, or arguments keep coming up. I work with teenagers, adults, couples, and families helping them cope with challenges related to anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, trauma, grief, and big life transitions. My approach is to slow down and explore these patterns together, to reflect on their origins, and to support you as you test out new ways of being and relating to others. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish.
I draw from mindfulness, family systems, and strengths-based modalities, and my underlying orientation is psychodynamic. This means I help clients develop an interest in their inner world and the inner conflicts behind their symptoms. My hope is to help you move from feeling stuck towards a greater sense of freedom and connection with others.
I am a psychotherapist at MTZ Counseling, a group psychotherapy practice based in Tribeca in lower Manhattan. We provide culturally sensitive in-person or remote services to individuals, couples, and families living in New York City, and Telehealth sessions to New York State residents.
