Hello! My name is Sophia, thank you for visiting my profile! I applaud you for making this first step in your growth journey. I have a strengths-based, trauma-informed perspective to therapy practice. My experience includes working with people from ages 5-60 years old facing an array of challenges including grief, relationship conflict, and difficulty managing mental health conditions in daily life. These conditions include anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, specific phobia, trauma-related disorders, and other mood disorders.
My preferred modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. These evidence-based practices help with emotional regulation, gaining new perspectives, increasing self-awareness, and becoming a more resilient individual.
It can be intimidating to make this step and talk to someone you do not know about hard topics. It is my mission to create a warm and welcoming environment with no judgement.
