I believe that compassionate and non-judgemental self-examination can offer us a path toward growth and healing. Wherever you are on your journey, my goal as a therapist is to create an affirming environment that offers support and guidance, honors your complexity, and centers your self-determination. I work collaboratively with clients to address a range of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, self-image, major life changes, sex, gender, and sexuality. I also have specialized knowledge in helping clients who experience intrusive thoughts and obsessive compulsive symptoms.
My therapeutic approach is primarily psychodynamic and relational, and I weave in skills from behavioral therapies and mindfulness practices when useful for my clients. Additionally, I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1), an approach that will support you building a deeper understanding of, and relationship with, your internal world.
In addition to my private practice, I am the Director of Mental Health at The LGBT Community Center. I specialize in providing affirming therapy to queer, trans, and gender-expansive communities. I am committed to centering and affirming the lived experience of folks I work with; an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed lens are both central to my practice.
