Welcome to my practice. I help adults and older teenagers work through transitions, including grief, trauma, parenthood and aging. I work collaboratively with clients to help them find meaning, purpose, authenticity and agency in their lives. I am interested in the relationship between our inner worlds and how we fit into and interact with our families, society, and the world. I also enjoy working with clients who wish to explore existential questions and spirituality.
My areas of expertise include trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and spirituality.Originally from the UK, I became a psychotherapist almost twenty years ago, after working in international journalism. I like human stories, and exploring our ability to influence their progress and outcomes.
I obtained my master’s degree at Howard University and completed post-graduate training with the New Directions writing program of the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis, and at the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, where I later served as Co-Director.
