About
(Update 1/11/22- I'm not accepting new clients at this time.) I treat clients for depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, trauma, grief/loss, life transitions, work stressors, women's issues, prenatal and postnatal depression/anxiety. I have worked with adoptees who are exploring their identity and sense of belonging. I see clients with complex trauma and dissociation. I validate those who experienced racism, sexism, microaggressions and recognize how that has impacted their lives. Goal is help clients live with dignity and in alignment with their values.
I am trained in EMDR and advanced Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I specialize in working with complex trauma (ex: C-PTSD, Dissociation Disorder). I have completed certification in AIR Network. I utilize Clinical Hypnosis to increase sense of calm, improve mood, improve sleep, and decrease physical pain. I have completed lvl 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
I genuinely care about my clients and make it my goal to find approaches that best fits their needs. I am direct but respectful in my approach. I continue to do my own work to understand intersectionality of privileges and aim to be advocate for marginalized communities. I understand being an ally is a verb, not a noun, and not a title to bestow on self.
