Accepting new clients! I believe in a person-centered approach to therapy to help you in finding peace and balance when life becomes overwhelming. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Jamestown. I specialize in mood disorders, trauma, family, and childhood issues. My approach is collaborative and person-centered, as I believe each client is the expert of his/her life and much more than their illness. I believe in fostering people's innate resiliency through evidence-based practice. I work with all ages and with a variety of populations. I'm also fluent in Russian. Clinical supervision for LCSWAs offered at $100 per hour.
My vast knowledge of evidence based treatment models, includes: CBT (regular and trauma-focused), Progressive Counting Trauma Therapy, Flash Trauma therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, DBT, IFS, EFT for couples, and play therapy. I work with clients ages three and up, on issues including: trauma, childhood/adolescent issues, and mood disorders.
I enjoy utilizing both verbal and nonverbal forms of therapy. My background and training in play therapy, expressive art therapy and creative writing are important components of my work with clients. I strongly believe that nonverbal forms of expression can often be powerful clinical tools that can enhance the therapeutic experience.
