My name is Sonya and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in working with adults of all ages who struggle with anxiety, depression, or trauma. I help by creating a safe, calm and comfortable therapeutic environment where you can speak freely without fear of judgement. In our first few sessions, you can expect we will explore any challenges you have, your strengths, and finally your hopes for what life will look like when you meet your goals. I believe you are the expert on your life. I am simply the support person helping you make changes and adjust perspectives to accomplish your hopes, dreams, and goals.
I believe your treatment should be individualized to meet your needs. I am trained in EMDR to address trauma, CBT, ACT, as well as other modalities. I rely upon my training to develop the best approach to help you find the healing you are seeking. I believe in open, honest communication during treatment to ensure you receive the best, most effective care.
Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, but I am here to walk with you, step by step, as we get to know one another. My goal is to help you feel safe and comfortable during the first session.
