We all have running narratives about who we are in this world. We use certain words to describe ourselves, like “I’m too sensitive.” “I’m an anxious person.” “I’m not good enough.” While these stories are based on real experiences, they can also hold power over our self-esteem, our decision-making, and our relationships. In therapy, we will work to understand yourself and the world around you in new ways that feel more accepting, empowering and expansive.
I specialize in the field of perinatal mental health. Whether you’re adjusting to parenthood, struggling with infertility, grieving a loss, or recovering from a traumatic birth, I am here for you. Navigating the unique challenges of parenthood can expose you to parts of yourself you never knew were there, and it’s important that you don’t do it alone.
My style as a therapist is warm, egalitarian, and accepting. I use psychodynamic, ACT, and mindfulness approaches in my practice and am also trained in CBT. Mostly, I will focus on creating a trusting bond between us - one where you feel safe, seen, and understood.
