I have worked with clients with issues such as marital problems, but they improved self-esteem, advocacy, and assertiveness in therapy, which reduced conflict with their spouse. My ideal client is someone motivated to change at the onset of therapy, who is committed to attending regular therapy sessions, identifies their goals, and focuses on a collaborative process to achieve their goals.
I can offer tools for gaining insight into thinking errors by using CBT principles so clients can reframe their thoughts and change. I recognize that seeking help can feel overwhelming and challenging at first, but it is worth taking that leap of faith to pursue therapy!
