My name is Sonja Meyer. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. The heart of my work is to create a warm and caring space that allows my clients to express themselves without judgment. I found that I work best with people who are experiencing grief, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. Using a kind and gentle approach, I seek to lead each client toward deeper self-knowledge so they can gradually begin to let go of harmful patterns that may be keeping them stuck.
I enjoy working with people who understand that change comes first from acknowledging a need for change, setting goals, and taking action toward those goals. I find joy in working with individuals who take ownership over their lives, controlling what they can control and taking full responsibility for their choices and actions.
I have a strong desire to help others and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on people's lives by providing support, guidance, and empathy as they work through their challenges to improve their emotional well-being. This career allows me to fulfill those passions and desires. I feel deeply privileged and grateful to be a therapist.
