I have a certificate in anger and ADHD and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). I have training in behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trust-based relational intervention (TBRI), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I use a holistic approach to mental health that embrace mind, body and spirit.
I believe understanding race, ethnicity, and culture (including one’s own) is necessary to appreciating the diversity of human dynamics and treating all clients effectively. Incorporating cultural competence into treatment improves therapeutic decision-making and offers alternative ways to define and plan a treatment program that is firmly direct.
