I am a MFT student trainee. My ideal client would be someone who is going through major life shifts that has created curiosity around their self identity and questions around their confidence in all aspects of life. Someone who struggles with anxiety and depression who does not feel as if they are "enough" and are having difficulties maintaining healthy relationships around them with a partner/s, friends, and family. Their goal would be to feel a sense of security within themselves exploring the stories and patterns that have led them to have these belief systems that are not supporting their best "Self".
My specialty is using somatic approaches "the felt sense" helping the client be in tune with the bodily processes especially when heavy emotions arise. I integrate a mindfulness based approach "here and now" incorporating the body and mind connection helping the client sink into the deeper feelings that often go unnoticed or are repressed.
First, is creating a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship for the client to open up and share thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I meet the client where they are at while also creating realistic goals to guide them to reach their full potential. I am available now!
