My name is Sonia Vaquera and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Bakersfield, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults (couples/families) and specialize in depression, anxiety, stress, family relationships, couples therapy, relapse prevention using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic, family systems, interpersonal, motivational interviewing, person-centered approach, and behavioral therapy to help my clients make progress and take charge with better leadership in their own lives.
In my practice, I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered to tackle their challenges. My approach is primarily Client-Centered/Holistic/Integrative, etc., meaning that I tailor each session to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual.
