The choice will be yours and completely based on your level of comfort. I will be here to set up the creative stage for you to shine, cry, laugh, change and grow.

I provide psychotherapy for individuals impacted by trauma, in whatever capacity that might look like. I believe that trauma leaves with us a story, and that story is worth being told, and being heard.

I help first responders overcome symptoms of PTSD, such as anger, anxiety, and depression, so they can live a life connected to themselves and to community. Working as a first responder can be a stressful, painful experience. It can leave people feeling isolated and disconnected from their family, community, and themselves. It can sometimes feel like confronting the source of anxiety and anger is more than you can handle in a profession and a culture that require you to be strong. The creation of my practice, Kimberly Koljat LMFT, is in service of the transformative power of relational play with children, adolescents, adult individuals, and families. Though initially I specialized in working with children 3 - 12 years of age, I have expanded my practice to female-identified, LGBTIQ+, adolescents, and children and families. Rooted in attachment, neurobiology, and client-centered work, I use experiential methods to help those who feel disconnected from others and themselves find the link playfully back to being in relationship to what matters most.
