I am experienced and skilled in assessing, evaluating and treating young adults through older adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma and dementia. My style is interactive, keeping in mind to treat each person as a unique individual who may struggle with life's choices. I rigorously protect their confidentiality. With their permission, I provide information and feedback to physicians, mental health professionals and social service organizations. If needed as part of a person's treatment, I have access to medication providers.
I am experienced in helping with memory loss, Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia. With our society aging, the "sandwich generation" often has responsibility for older parent(s) and younger child(ren) who need guidance and support themselves.
As a past regional director of Infoline, now 211, a statewide information and referral program, I have vast knowledge of common to obscure resources to guide others. My experience includes a family service agency, a geriatric psychiatry practice, a large nonprofit assisted living community, senior services at a hospital and an adult day health center.
