Welcome! I provide therapy for kids with ADHD, anxiety, and concussions. As a team, I work with parents and kids to begin to understand some of the negative messages your child may be internalizing based on their challenges. ADHD: Once we explore some of the identity and self-esteem challenges, we begin the practical skills work such as examining how they learn, learning skills, executive functioning skills, when and how to study, and when to take breaks. We also create structure by creating a calendar for their homework and assignments a week ahead.
Anxiety: If your child was anxious pre-covid they are most likely more anxious now. School avoidance is an epidemic post covid. Social anxiety is at an all-time high in kids of all ages. Performance anxiety with tests and sports is rampant at this time Through teaching your child techniques to manage their anxiety they will find success.
Concussion Therapy and Coaching: Your child getting a concussion is a nightmare. All the sudden activities are taken away as well as the endorphins and regimented schedule. Your child is having mental health issues as a result of the concussion. And academics are a challenge. I am your child's therapist and advocate to help your child get back on track.
