One of the most basic and comforting aspects of therapy is the fact that you will have a partner on your journey. In my office we will sit together as we create a partnership built on trust and mutual concern. We can work to address your concerns. Perhaps you’re struggling with a relationship, either personal or professional. Our work will seek to find solutions to the problem. Some issues require learning how to work through them-like loss. There may be trauma that needs to be released. Also of concern for many are life transitions such as moving, becoming a senior, empty nesting, retirement, etc.
One very effective technique especially for trauma is EMDR which helps to work through an issue. It provides a new perspective which frees you from the past. My job and strength in being your therapist would be to ask the right questions. It is my belief that you have your answers and it’s my job to help you find them.
Navigating this fast changing world coupled with the personal problems that life brings may feel overwhelming. There is no need to go it alone. Working together you can begin to have a new perspective, develop effective skills and create a sense of empowerment to handle future issues. One of the best gifts of therapy is the ability to enjoy your own growth.
