I earned my masters degree in Counseling from Canisius College in Buffalo NY in 1999. I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor as well as a licensed school counselor. With more than 20 years experience as a middle school counselor, I specialize in working with children (ages 10+) and adolescents. My therapeutic basis is from the Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral approach.

I can truly say that I have never met a person that has not gone through difficulties in life, and I probably never will! People experience many life changing events daily and find it hard to cope when they feel they are going through it alone! Having a strong support system to help you navigate through tough times is always a good thing to have, and I would love to be apart of that system to give that support and extra push you need.

Everyone faces difficulties throughout life, sometimes it can be tough to go through those tough times alone. I am here to give support. I want to be able to provide a space where you can feel comfortable and safe. My passion is helping those with anxiety, depression, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, and other life stressors. During the process we will go outside the office for a walk or to play games or use interactive activities inside. My certified service dog can also assist me to help make sessions more comfortable. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, and have experience working with children, adolescents, adults.

I am a licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina and Connecticut. I have worked within this field for 15 years, providing clinical therapy for 7 of those years. I have experience working with diverse populations ranging from children and adolescents in residential facilities; children and adolescents in a school setting; individuals and families who have experienced trauma; and children couples and adults in outpatient settings.

Life can be challenging at times and healthy coping skills are vital to being able to navigate through life and manage daily issues and problems effectively. Many people see seeking therapy as an admission of weakness. I believe that one of the bravest things someone can do is realize that they cannot face everything alone and to ask for help.
