One of my primary goals as a therapist is to highlight the tendency we have to let the problems we experience interfere with the things in life that we value most. This can leave us feeling extremely frustrated, unfulfilled, and even hopeless! I want to help people learn and practice acceptance and mindfulness, as we develop and determine a sense of direction, with the goal of restoring a sense of meaning and purpose in life.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Oklahoma Counseling Association (OCA) as well as Counseling Association for Military, Oklahoma Veterans and Families (CAMOVAF). I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Counseling Psychology degree, both from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. My experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults and families in an outpatient setting as well as school-based setting. I incorporate solution-focused as well as cognitive-behavioral and reality based therapy solutions.

I have experience as a therapist working with many different populations including children and adolescents, adults and families in community mental health, non profit and now a private practice setting. I work closely with parents that have children having difficulty in the classroom or at home. I use a calm and safe environment to help children learn appropriate ways to handle emotional upset. I am also a school counselor so I am proactive by working closely with staff and administration in the Edmond Public Schools to help students adjust and maintain appropriate behavior so they can learn. I see children with ADHD, anxiety, depression, drug usage, divorce, and school related issues.

Taylor’s world has fallen apart around her and she is having to start over. Taylor found herself going back in forth between wanting to fight to wanting to sleep her life away.
