My philosophy of counseling is based on the principles of increasing awareness of our thoughts and behaviors, being able to modify patterns that are not working for us, achieving balance in life, promoting respect between the individuals, and establishing strong connections with other human beings.
Throughout my career I have acquired extensive and invaluable experience from working with clients from ages two to one hundred. I am trained in using different evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR to address issues such as adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, stress and PTSD.
Taking that first step towards healing may be intimidating but I am available to ease the process. My goal is for clients to obtain skills that will be helpful in managing emotions and behaviors. Being able to fully listen, understand and see my clients for who they are is my ultimate goal. Leaving the session with increased knowledge of yourself is a plus.
