I am a nonbinary telehealth-only Somatic Experiencing Method therapist that has been working with clients since 2011. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (Somatic Psychology Concentration), a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology, and a background in nature connection mentoring, caring for children, movement, and social justice. I particularly work with anxiety, trauma, boundaries, communication, stress, self-regulation skill-building, and self-organization. I am LGBTQ+ and BIPOC-celebrating, sex-positive, and work with those with alternative relationship styles.
My therapy style combines sensitivity and directness, playfulness, sense of humor, advocacy, mindfulness, nature connection, compassion, and embodiment. Somatic Experiencing is a non-pathologizing, titrated modality that supports nervous system regulation and the metabolization of trauma held in the body.
The Somatic Experiencing Method is a strengths-based style of counseling. It can help metabolize life experiences which have resulted in "stuck gears" of fight, flight, freeze, collapse, or fawn responses in a client's body. This supports increased emotional and physical wellbeing and decreased suffering. I work with individual adult clients.
