Eating disorders happen to people in all body types, shapes, and sizes. Seeking help can be intimidating and scary, especially when the feelings of shame about our bodies and eating habits are strong. I work from a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective, and I will not judge you. Think of therapy as a conversation; we start slow, we identify your specific needs, and then work toward the goals you would like to see for yourself, your body, and with food. Please don’t let shame or fear hold you back; you do not have to live with it alone, and you are worthy of help. Relieving fear and shame is part of the conversation.
With over 15 years of experience working with individuals struggling with disordered eating and body-image issues, I offer compassionate, HAES aligned, doctoral level care. While I lean heavily on CBT, DBT, and IPT skills, my primary focus is on building a strong therapeutic relationship where we hold space for leaning into emotions.
Therapy is not about striving for perfection; it's about making progress toward your goals, and about having the courage to seek a happier, healthier you. I am licensed in OH, KY, and am certified with PSYPACT for telepsychology in 42 states. Please contact me for more information.
