I believe the most important aspect of therapy is feeling safe, empowered, and
supported. I focus on fostering a space for children, pre-teens, teens, and adults that allows for the safe exploration of trauma, anxiety, and depression. I also work with individuals and children experiencing ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, relationship problems, and other diverse concerns.When working with children, I find it is also important to provide parent coaching. Although parents are seen as the experts in
their child’s life, parent coaching creates a collaborative space for the therapist and parents to best meet the child's unique needs
I mostly work from a Person-Centered lens, but I draw on a range of techniques
(including Child-Centered Play Therapy, somatic exercises, Relational Therapy, and Attachment Theory) to best meet the needs of the individual. Play therapy allows children to utilize play, their natural language, to explore feelings, fears, and behaviors.
When we, as humans, feel supported, seen, and understood, we are better equipped
with tools to regulate emotions, continue to build confidence, and persevere through difficult life experiences. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment that serves as a bridge to healing, self-understanding, and meaningful change.
