Finding the right therapist for your child can feel like a big decision, and it's important that the relationship feels like a good fit. Maybe your child has become more anxious, withdrawn, irritable, or overwhelmed, or you're noticing changes in their confidence, friendships, behavior, or experience at school. Sometimes young people have a hard time putting into words what they're feeling, and parents are left wondering how to best support them. I work with children, preteens, and teens navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, behavioral challenges, peer relationships, school-related stress, and life transitions.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and structured while allowing room for each young person's personality and interests to guide our work. I use evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, strengths-based interventions, and age-appropriate activities to help clients better understand their emotions and feel more confident.
My goal is to create a space where children and teens can gradually feel comfortable being themselves, while parents feel supported in the process.
