Hello/Hola, I'm Socorro- My name is Socorro Saavedra, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. My goal in therapy is to help clients reach their full potential by healing past trauma and support maintain their mental well-being. I work with children, adults, couples, and families facing depression, anxiety, significant life transitions as well as challenges in parenting.
I enjoy working with clients from diverse ethnic, cultural, and religious/spiritual backgrounds. One of my specialties is working with parents to help them learn relationship-based parenting skills. As a "parenting coach", I focus on the parent-child relationship to address their children's behavior challenges that are happening both at home and at school.
My passion is to help clients overcome childhood traumas and help them lead happy and fulfilling lives. Trauma can often manifest in symptoms of depression, anxiety, unexplained anger, social anxiety, and relationship difficulties.
