Social Skills Groups and Counseling for Kids is a private counseling center where Sandra Singer, PhD and Claudia Weiss, LCSW provide group and individual services for children ages 4-13. As licensed therapists who developed a comprehensive school based counseling program, we bring a wealth of experience in child development, behavioral disorders and group work to the private setting. We believe that children learn best when actively engaged in fun and creative activities.
We have over 20 years experience in the field of social skills. We have developed therapeutic materials that are being used nation wide. In addition, we have written articles and presented at state wide and national conferences.
We also have experience in providing services related to school issues, divorce,and loss through death. Parental and school consultation for behavioral issues is also available.

Social Skills (ages 4-13)
Groups are offered for children experiencing difficulties interacting with peers and adults. Groups are appropriate for children with ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome/Spectrum Disorders, anxiety, low self esteem, depression, anger, aggression, defiance. Areas of focus may include: listening skills, conversational skills, self control skills, anger management skills, problem solving skills, empathy training, good sportsmanship, assertiveness training. Parent feedback if provided after each session.
