I'm a licensed clinical social worker. I specialize in helping individuals who struggle with anxiety, trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, and identity issues. My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and strengths-based. I use a mix of modalities to tailor therapy to best meet your needs. I provide help with relieving immediate symptoms and also help you to explore how past experiences influence your present-day thoughts and behaviors, and affect how you relate to others. I aim to help you change unhelpful patterns and develop new ways of interacting in the present.
I work with adults who are suffering from the effects of chronic stress, experiences of trauma, or are otherwise struggling to recover from difficult life events. I typically work with clients who seek both relief from symptoms and who desire change on a deeper level to help them feel more connected to themselves and others.
My communication style is relaxed and conversational. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore and reflect. Our sessions and our therapeutic relationship are part of the change process, and I use an open, warm, gentle, but direct approach to communicating with you.
