Are you struggling with relationship issues, attachment, anxiety, depression, or plain old uncertainty in a world that seems batshit crazy? Do you wrestle with or rely on alcohol or cannabis and gotten tired of 12-step groups? Live with someone who does? You don’t have to be entangled in thier problem. You CAN integrate meaning and modern life, break cycles of conflict and stagnation, and be at peace. You seek a therapist who challenges you and offers real insight, practical strategies, and action, not just symptomatic relief. I specialize in men's health, but see anyone interested in lasting meaning, transformation, and resilience.
I am a deeply person-centered, humanist blending insights from neuroscience, psychoanalysis, eastern and western philosophy, theology and many years of seeking to understand human behavior. My job is to help discover who you really are and what is meaningful to you. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) are readily used.
How can you trust a therapist if you know nothing about them? I make my whole self available, I share my stories and my own journey openly. I have been where you are, and made it "out alive". We are never alone, even when it may feel that way. Not many therapists are prepared to meet where my Maori mentors call "nose to nose, heart to heart." I am. Call me.

Groups
Zen Buddhists

Essentially, all we need do is show up in our bodies. We do not need to change anything, buy into a system of guilt, or join a cult. We can just show up, and see what happens. There's enough there for us to feel our experience without judgement.

Zen and the Art of Recovery

Can you sit and accept what your experience is with substance? That's all that is required for this group exploration of traditional recovery. Relating to, and balancing our use of cannabis, alcohol, and food need not be a guilt trip, or require us to join a cult. We just need to show up for the feelings. That's all we do in this group.
